  • What is PAYCALL?
    PAYCALL is an easy-to-use paid audio and video chat solution.
  • Why should I use PAYCALL?
    PAYCALL from HEADSTORE is your gateway to a new business channel. Just integrate the PAYCALL either with the HEADSTORE WordPress PlugIn or integrate the code snippet to embed your profile into your website by using your CMS or integrate it directly into the HTML page code. It is also possible to use a short URL that can be sent out by email to your customers that will guide them to your landing page.
  • How to start using PAYCALL
    To use PAYCALL as an expert, click on the following Link and start your signup right away: http://paycall.headstore.com/#signup.
  • What is the PAYCALL button?
    The PAYCALL button can be added to any website and allows customers to contact an expert directly.
  • Which browsers can I use?
    Currently, Chrome and Firefox are supporting PAYCALL. More browsers will support it in the future.
  • How do I give access to my camera and microphone?
    Normally you can give access to your camera and microphone the first time you log into PAYCALL or the first time you make a call. The browser will ask you in a small dialog window whether you want to allow access. First for your microphone, then for your camera. Please make sure you select “Always allow”, if available. See the following screenshots for Chrome and Firefox.

    If you accidentally blocked access you need to restore it to be able to use PAYCALL.For Chrome, please click on the small camera icon on the right end of the search bar and allow camera or microphone access as required. Please see the following screenshots for guidance.

    For Firefox please log into PAYCALL or click on the PAYCALL button where you want to make a call. Then do a right click with your mouse inside the PAYCALL window. Select “View Page Info”. In the window that appears, select the tab “Permissions”. In the list of permissions that appears, scroll all the way down. You will see two entries: “Use the Camera” and “Use the Microphone”. For both, deselect “Use Default” if it is selected and then select “Allow”.

    Please contact our support if you need any help with giving PAYCALL access to your camera and microphone. Due to ever-increasing browser security guidelines, this procedure is sometimes difficult to accomplish.
  • Why does my Lenovo webcam not work?
    It can happen that integrated webcams in Lenovo laptops freeze. In this case, please shut down your computer and restart it. A simple restart will not work.

  • What does it cost to use PAYCALL?
    PAYCALL has a very transparent pricing model. There are no setup, monthly, or hidden fees. We just take 10 of your revenue to cover credit card fees and operational costs. 90% of the revenue go to you.
  • How do I signup?

  • How do I manage my profile?
    Login to your PAYCALL account and click on the “Edit profile” button on the dashboard.
  • What is the “Dashboard”?
    The dashboard is shown when you log into your PAYCALL account. It displays various information about your income, your call duration, a call history where you can see detailed information about the call and the ratings you receive. Also, you can share your profile there.
  • What is Stripe?
    Stripe is the secure payment partner. Stripe allows you to manage your earnings with a minimal effort on your side.
  • How does Stripe work?
    Stripe is a payment service provider that on one side, verifies the coverage of the credit card and on the other side, sends the earnings to the experts private bank account.
  • How do I add Stripe, when free calls are used up?
    simply click on “My account” located at the top right of your dashboard and navigate to “Settings”. There you can click on “Connect to Stripe”.
  • How do I get paid?
    As soon the session is terminated you will get your revenue share safely transferred to Stripe. PAYCALL makes a reservation on the customer’s credit card in order to guarantee that the expert can be paid after the session. In Stripe, you can manage your earnings and send them to your personal bank account. This can be done automatically on a periodicity you prefer.
  • Why should I connect with Stripe as an expert?
    If your PAYCALL account is connected with Stripe, it enables you to earn money by setting a rate per minute and currency.
  • Do I need my own website?
    No,  the PAYCALL button can be shared on Facebook, on your LinkedIn profile, on Twitter or you send a simple link by email to reach out to your customers.
  • Why should I log in with Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter or Google?You can sign in with your social login for your confidence. With social login no mail verification is necessary and that makes life easier for you.
  • Does PAYCALL post something on my social account?
    No, we do not post anything on any of your social accounts. There is an option to share your PAYCALL button on social profiles if you like to do so.
  • Which countries are eligible for experts?
    The secure payment service Stripe allows account management in following countries: Australia, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Norway, Sweden, United Kingdom, United States, Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Luxemburg, Netherlands, Spain, Brazil, Mexico, Portugal, Singapore, Switzerland.
  • Which currencies are supported?
    At the moment, you can select one of the following currencies: USD, GBP, EUR, CAD, CHF.
  • What are free minutes?
    Free minutes can be enabled to give your customers a chance to get to know you before they are charged for the call. If you choose to enable this, you can set the first one, three or five minutes to be for free.
    The customer still has to provide its payment information and the call is automatically charged after the free minutes.
  • Can I just use audio and hide the video?
    Yes, you can select to make Audio-only calls.
  • Is there a time limit for a session?
    Yes, the time limit for a session is 90 minutes.
  • How can I pick up incoming calls?
    To pick up an incoming call, you need to be logged into your Paycall account. To log in, click here. When you are logged in, you can pick up calls by either clicking on the microphone symbol for an audio only connection, or you can click on the video symbol to start the session with live audio and video chat.
  • How can I change my profile picture?
    To change your profile picture, you need to be logged into your account. When you are logged in, you automatically land on your dashboard. By clicking on the “Edit profile” button, you will get to the screen, where you can change the profile picture, by clicking on the “+” Symbol over the PAYCALL logo.
  • Do I get a receipt?
    We send you an email following each call. If you need a full receipt, you can retrieve that by login into your Stripe account.
  • How can I get the money from Stripe?
    Login to Stripe, navigate to “Transactions” > “Transfers” there you can manage and schedule the money transfer from Stripe to your personal bank account.
  • Can I enter my contact details in the description?
    We do not allow any other means of contact on your profile

For Customers

  • What does it cost to make a call?
    The rate that you need to pay when calling somebody on PAYCALL is set by the recipient of the call. It can vary from about USD 1.00 to USD 15.00 per minute. Our experts can set their own price, PAYCALL has no influence on the rates of the individual experts.
  • How can I pay?
    PAYCALL accepts for the US business following cards: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, JCB, Discover and Diners Club.Australian, Canadian, European and Japanese business can accept Visa, MasterCard and American express.
  • Which credit cards are accepted?
    U.S. businesses can accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, JCB, Discover, and Diners Club.
    Australian, Canadian, European, and Japanese businesses can accept Visa, MasterCard, and American Express.
  • Can I use PayPal?
    No, we use Stripe as our secure payment partner. Stripe does not support PayPal.
  • Can I use just audio and hide the video?
    Yes, you can already decide on how to accept a call, by either clicking on the video symbol for accepting a call with audio and video or if you would like to only use the audio function, you can select the microphone symbol.
  • Can I call from a mobile phone or my tablet?
    Not yet, but we are working on such a solution and will announce it once it’s ready to use.
  • Do I get a receipt?
    All your payments will be visible in your detailed credit card bill. It will be highlighted as “HEADSTORE”.

Security

  • How are calls via PAYCALL secured?
    The most sensitive information are audio and video data of the calls. This data is encrypted end-to-end using SRTP, with a secure exchange of keys. No other party, not even we, can decrypt audio and video of calls. Decryption happens directly on the customers and on the experts device.
  • How does PAYCALL protect private data?
    PAYCALL is built to ensure that private data stays private. All connections to and from our backend and network are encrypted using industry standard TLS connections. All communications are going over TLS-secured channels. The backend is secured via multiple security domains using the Spring security framework. PAYCALL does not save any payment data but leaves this in the hands of our experienced and certified payment service partner STRIPE.

Messages

  • How can I unsubscribe from email messages?
    At the bottom of the message, there is an option to opt out from receiving all of our optional messages. Some messages, however, are required for our service to work.
  • How can I unsubscribe from newsletters?
    To unsubscribe from our newsletters, simply click on the “Unsubscribe” link, provided at the bottom of the newsletter.

Mobile expert app

  • Where can I download the mobile app?

  • Can I make calls from the app?
    Currently, our app can only be used to receive incoming calls. Placing calls from your mobile phone’s browser or our app is a feature we are currently working on.
  • Why does the app ask me for a password to log in?
    Use the password you use to log in at our website. If you log in via Facebook, LinkedIn or Google then you need to set a password before you can use the mobile app: on the PAYCALL website, go to your Settings, then click on “Edit Settings” and enter a new password. After you saved it, you can use this password to log into the mobile app on your phone.
  • How can I edit my profile?
    You can edit your profile by logging into your PAYCALL account from a desktop computer.
